Job summary

Bravus Mining and Resources’ Carmichael mine in North Galilee Basin is seeking a Supervisor Drill & Blast to lead frontline crews and safely deliver drill, blast and mining enabling targets, while driving operational excellence and a high-performance culture.

The role operates on a 7/7 roster, with direct flights from Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton or Mackay, and a focus on safety, equipment utilisation and stakeholder communication to support production targets.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within a large-scale mining operation.
Experience supervising heavy earthmoving equipment and drill & blast activities.
Current Mining Supervisor Qualifications (G1, G8, G9) and G2 Risk Management certification.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily drill & blast contractor activities to safely achieve production targets.
Supervise mining equipment operators for road works, pattern prep, and expansion clearing/topsoil management.
Optimize equipment utilization, workforce deployment and operational efficiency.
Monitor downtime and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain safety, environmental, and statutory compliance and report accurately.
