Job summary

Seymour College invites a passionate Drama Teacher to join the Performing Arts team on a permanent basis. The role offers flexibility between 0.6 to 1.0 FTE depending on second teaching area, teaching Drama to Middle and Senior Years.

Commencing in Term 1, 2027, the successful candidate will deliver programs across Years 7–12, differentiate instruction, foster wellbeing, collaborate on curriculum, and contribute to productions and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered teacher in SA.
• Experience teaching Drama to Years 7–12.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
• Collaborative approach to professional learning and growth.
• Understanding of educational and wellbeing needs of adolescent girls.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Drama programs across Years 7–12.
• Inspire students to develop creativity, communication, collaboration and performance skills.
• Plan, assess and report on student learning in line with College expectations.
• Differentiate teaching to support diverse learning needs.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and productive learning environment.
• Support student wellbeing through positive relationships with students and families.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilise contemporary pedagogical practices and technologies to enhance learning.
• Contribute to productions, performances and co-curricular programs.
