Job summary

BHP Group in Queensland is recruiting for a permanent Dragline Operator to join the Peak Downs Mine site. You will operate draglines to support safe, productive open-cut mining and maintain equipment readiness.

Successful candidates will bring proven dragline operating experience, a current HR licence or site Heavy Rigid authorisation, and a strong commitment to safety. You’ll work on a 6/6 day/night roster with opportunities for ongoing development.

  • Current Dragline Operating experience with significant open-cut mining experience.
  • HR licence or site Heavy Rigid authorisation.
  • A genuine commitment to safety.
  • Strong communication skills and a track record of achieving results through influence.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic individual who can work with minimal supervision and engage in team operations.
  • Passion for continuous improvement to drive individual and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Have a strong commitment to ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance for mine working procedures.
  • Work cooperatively within a team to achieve safe production targets.
