Job summary

Australian Red Cross Lifeblood is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent part-time role at Narre Warren Donor Centre, Victoria. The position offers a reliable, donor-focused environment with a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday and a starting hourly salary of 41.83 AUD plus penalties, super and salary packaging.

You will greet donors, oversee the donation process, perform routine tests, operate equipment, and manage any adverse reactions while supporting community blood supply across

Qualifications

Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration.
Occasionally lift 9-22.7 kg.
Flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday.
Own vehicle and driver's licence, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Greet and interview potential donors to assess eligibility.
Provide clinical oversight and guide team in blood collection.
Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
Set up machines and blood collection equipment.
Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma and platelets.
Manage adverse donor reactions with instructions and assistance.
Monitor donors post-donation and assist with rebooking.
