Australian Red Cross Lifeblood – Brisbane QLD is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the mobile unit and Brisbane Donor Centre team. The role focuses on patient-facing donor care, clinical oversight, and contributing to Australia’s blood supply.

The position offers permanent part-time hours (63.00 hours per fortnight) with a rotating roster across Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts. A Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration required.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster (Mon–Sun).
• Ability to occasionally lift 9–22.7 kg and to stand/walk/bend during procedures.

Aufgaben

• Greet and interview donors to assess eligibility.
• Provide clinical oversight during blood collection and guide team members.
• Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests; set up equipment.
• Insert and remove needles to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
• Monitor donors post-donation and assist with rebooking.
