Job description

Full-time Contract Mid-Level

Description
WHO ARE WE?

The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation ('BCF') is one of Sydney's most trusted frontline charities and has been supporting the community for nearly 40 years. Our mission is to address homelessness and hardship by providing essential services including food, social welfare, healthcare, education and community programs.

Every day we work to restore dignity, offer hope and create meaningful change for people experiencing disadvantage. Our work is made possible through the generosity of individuals, businesses, community organisations and supporters who share our commitment to helping the person in front of us.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a proactive and relationship-focused Donations Coordinator to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships, growing donor engagement and developing corporate partnerships that directly support vulnerable members of our community.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer ('CEO') and working under their strategic direction, you will play a key role in delivering BCF's fundraising activities, donor stewardship initiatives and corporate partnership program.

You will work collaboratively with Marketing, Events, Volunteering and other internal teams to coordinate donor campaigns, strengthen donor engagement and proactively identify opportunities to grow financial and in-kind support for BCF's services and programs.

A key focus of this position will be developing and growing BCF's corporate partnership portfolio. You'll identify prospective partners, develop meaningful relationships with businesses and explore opportunities across sponsorship, workplace giving, financial contributions and in-kind support.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day relationships and opportunities while working within the strategic direction and priorities established by the CEO.

This is a full-time position based in Ashfield, working alongside a passionate and purpose-driven team committed to making a meaningful difference every day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As our Donations Coordinator, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, major supporters, regular givers and corporate partners.
  • Proactively identify and develop new corporate partnership opportunities aligned with BCF's mission, values and strategic priorities.
  • Maintain and grow a pipeline of prospective corporate partners and progress new partnership opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for financial contributions, sponsorships, workplace giving, in-kind donations and other forms of corporate support.
  • Coordinate donor engagement activities, fundraising campaigns, appeals and stewardship initiatives.
  • Grow and support BCF's regular giving and bequest programs.
  • Prepare partnership proposals, donor communications, presentations, reports and impact updates.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Events, Volunteering and other internal teams to deliver fundraising and partnership initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate donor and corporate partner information within BCF's Customer Relationship Management ('CRM') system including Salesforce where applicable.
  • Track fundraising performance, expected donations, partnership activity and relevant Key Performance Indicators ('KPIs').
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to the CEO regarding significant donor relationships, fundraising opportunities and corporate partnership development.
  • Support the CEO in developing and progressing significant donor and corporate relationships.
  • Represent BCF professionally at donor and corporate meetings, networking opportunities and stakeholder engagements as required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You're a confident relationship builder who enjoys connecting with people and turning opportunities into meaningful, long-term relationships.

You're proactive, commercially minded and comfortable developing new relationships while also understanding the importance of donor stewardship and maintaining existing supporters. You can take ownership of your responsibilities and use initiative while working effectively within established organisational priorities and strategic direction.

You'll also bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor engagement, corporate partnerships, business development, account management or a related field.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with donors, businesses, senior stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and progress new partnership, sponsorship, fundraising or business development opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities concurrently.
  • Confidence preparing proposals, presentations and professional stakeholder communications.
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management ('CRM') systems, databases and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with sound judgement and accountability.
  • Professionalism, discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information.
  • Empathy for people experiencing disadvantage and a genuine commitment to BCF's mission and values.

Experience managing corporate partnerships, sponsorships, major donor relationships or fundraising campaigns will be highly regarded.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

If your resume is shortlisted, the next steps may include:

  • Phone screen
  • Interview
  • Reference checks

These steps help create a supportive and transparent recruitment experience for both you and BCF. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the process.

WHY JOIN US?

We offer:

  • Access to salary packaging ($15,900) and Fringe Benefits Tax concessions
  • A collaborative team culture with ongoing support and professional development
  • The opportunity to contribute to meaningful change within the community
  • A values-driven workplace where your work directly impacts vulnerable individuals and families
