Job summary

Silverchain is seeking casual Domestic Assistants in Adelaide’s Inner Northern suburbs to deliver in-home support and companionship. Flexible hours are available between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a base hourly rate starting at 41.08 AUD plus super and benefits.

You will assist clients with daily tasks, promote independence, and help maintain comfort and quality of life in their homes, across the community with comprehensive support and training.

Qualifications

• Warm, respectful, and encouraging attitude.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently.
• Housekeeping skills and keeping things clean and organised.
• Genuine passion for helping others live their best lives.
• Ability to work a minimum of three days per week.
• Current valid Australian Driver’s Licence with insured, roadworthy vehicle.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, bed-making)
• Light shopping, errands, and preparing basic meals
• Encourage clients to stay active and involved in their own care
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing
• Build relationships with clients and their families
• Keep accurate notes and documentation
• Be the eyes and ears for the organisation and report changes or concerns
• Provide client-focused service that improves quality of life

The opportunity

We're on the lookout for a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Domestic Worker to join our team and support clients in their homes and communities across Adelaide's Inner Northern suburbs.

This highly rewarding role helps improve the wellbeing of a diverse range of clients, including aged care, people living independently, and under 65's. You will support them with everyday tasks and encourage independence.

• Casual Role - scheduled between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
