Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a Care Aide for Australind and surrounds. The permanent part-time role (60 hours per fortnight) runs Tue–Fri 9:30am–5:30pm, requiring you to travel between clients’ homes with a mobile app.

You will provide personal care, meals, light domestic tasks and social support, with a vehicle you must supply. A relevant certificate is preferred; strong communication and autonomous working style are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability desirable.
• 3–6+ months care experience depending on certificate.
• Home care or community setting experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s Licence with registered vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care including showering, grooming and toileting.
• Assist with medications, meals and domestic tasks.
• Provide social support and community engagement.
• Travel between clients’ homes using a mobile app to follow schedules.
• Follow a predetermined care plan and maintain client independence.

We’re recruiting a Care Aide for a permanent part-time role (60 hours per fortnight), needed Tuesday-Friday between 9:30am-5:30pm.

Applicants must live in Australind, Binningup, Brunswick, Burekup, Eaton, Leschenault, Millbridge, Parkfield, Pelican Point, Roelands, Vittoria, Waterloo, or Wellesley.

The role involves delivering high‑quality personal care and support, including showering, grooming, toileting, medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic tasks and community-based social support. Care Aides work independently, travelling between clients’ homes, so a reliable vehicle and confidence using a mobile app to follow schedules and care plans are essential.

What we’re looking for

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
• Those with a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 3 months relevant care worker experience. Those without a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 6+ months relevant care worker experience (FTE).
• Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
• A valid Drivers’ License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
• Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app, will be essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential.

• Provide domestic assistance and general housekeeping.

• Maintain unrestricted access to a reliable vehicle for travel between visits.
