Job summary

Southern Cross Care WA is seeking a friendly Domestic Assistant to support home-care clients across the Osborne Park, Balcatta and Innaloo areas. You will travel between client homes, maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable living environment while following Care Plans and coordinating with Client Care Coordinators.

No formal aged-care experience is required, but a genuine desire to help others, respect for privacy and the ability to follow processes are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have good interpersonal skills.
• Own reliable motor vehicle and WA driver's license.
• Able to use mobile apps and technology.
• Genuine desire to support clients at home.
• Respect client privacy and follow required procedures.

Responsibilities

• Undertake domestic duties according to Care Plan requirements.
• Provide feedback to client care coordinators if you notice any client behaviour that might require a new assessment.
• Conduct yourself in a pleasant & professional manner.
• Make sure that each client is satisfied with services provided.
• Complete documentation as required.
• Attend & contribute to Support Worker & Domestic Assistant meetings.

About The Role And Where You Will Be Working

The role will require you to drive from one client to another. Your own car, driver's licence and confidence driving around Perth is a non-negotiable requirement.

We're committed to providing excellent and friendly domestic assistant services for our home care clients.

This role will see you working closely with our Client Care Coordinators to support our ultimate endeavour - enable our clients to remain at home for as long as possible!

Our team of Domestic Assistant is growing - and we’d love for you to come and join us. You’ll work beside our clients to ensure they have a clean, safe and comfortable living environment at home.

Currently we have needs in the Osborne Park, Balcatta, Innaloo area

Your Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To

You have a connection with older people and enjoy delighting your customers with quality and friendly service.

It's ok if you don't have formal aged care experience, but you should have a natural ability to respect client privacy and be able to understand & follow required processes and guidelines.

• Experience assisting someone with domestic duties.
• Great interpersonal skills & the ability to communicate well with others.
• The ability to use mobile technology and apps with ease.
• A genuine desire to go above and beyond for our clients.
• Own reliable motor vehicle & valid WA driver’s license.
• Driving confidence on Australian roads & during peak-hour as required
