Job summary

Suncare Community Services – Rockhampton is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Domestic Assistant to support older adults in their own homes across Central Rockhampton and Mount Morgan. The role offers a consistent four-day roster with 9:00am–2:00pm shifts potential beyond the preferred days, providing meaningful community-based care.

You will assist with daily tasks, light cleaning, meal preparation, and companionship, helping clients maintain independence while staying connected to their local

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to perform homecare tasks.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Must have or obtain a National Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with household tasks to maintain a comfortable home.
• Help with meals, beds, laundry, ironing, and shopping as needed.

What you will be doing

OurDomestic Assistantsput heart into everything they do - no two days look the same, but each one makes a difference.

We are offering a Permanent Part-Time opportunity (40 hours per fortnight) with a consistent roster. Let us know your availability and preferred working days, and we'll work with you to establish a set schedule. Our preferred roster is Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 2:00pm, however we're open to any four days across the week for the right person. You'll enjoy getting out into the community, supporting people to stay connected to the life they love in their own homes throughout Central Rockhampton and Mount Morgan.

• Helping keep someone's home feeling comfortable, whether that's tackling the laundry, cleaning the kitchen, or freshening up the bathroom.
• Lending a hand with everyday tasks like preparing simple meals, making beds, ironing, or shopping.
• Sitting down for a cuppa and a chat, because sometimes company can mean just as much as practical help.
• Being a familiar face who helps make each day a little easier and a little brighter.
