Job summary

Suncare Community Services is looking for a Casual Domestic Assistant to join our Redcliffe team. You will provide in-home support, helping with daily tasks to keep clients comfortable and independent in their own homes across the Redcliffe area.

Ideal candidates are reliable, compassionate and able to work weekday daytime hours, with access to a vehicle and a valid licence. A National Criminal History Check and First Aid/ CPR are expected or can be obtained.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide in-home support and domestic tasks.
• Physically able to perform household duties.
• Own reliable vehicle and current Australian driver’s licence (or ability to obtain).
• Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with everyday tasks such as laundry, cleaning, cooking and meal prep.
• Support clients to maintain a clean, comfortable home environment.
• Provide companionship and engage clients with friendly conversation.
• Assist with shopping and errands as needed.

What you will be doing

OurDomestic Assistantsput heart into everything they do - no two days look the same, but each one makes a difference.

We are offering a Casual opportunity with shifts available Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm. We're ideally seeking someone with availability across these hours, although we'll work with you to align shifts with your availability where possible. You'll enjoy getting out into the community, providing in-home support to clients throughout Clontarf, Clontarf Beach, Kippa-Ring, Margate, Margate Beach, Newport, Redcliffe, Redcliffe North, Rothwell, Scarborough and Woody Point. This role is ideal for candidates who live locally and are looking for weekday work close to home.

Your day might include:

• Helping keep someone's home feeling comfortable, whether that's tackling the laundry, cleaning the kitchen, or freshening up the bathroom.
• Lending a hand with everyday tasks like preparing simple meals, making beds, ironing, or shopping.
• Sitting down for a cuppa and a chat, because sometimes company can mean just as much as practical help.
• Being a familiar face who helps make each day a little easier and a little brighter.
