Job summary

Click ACS is seeking a Domestic Assistance Worker to provide basic in-home cleaning and supportive tasks for elderly and vulnerable clients. The role emphasizes caring for clients in their homes and contributing to their comfort and safety under CHSP programs.

You will perform light cleaning, assist with daily tasks, engage in friendly interactions, and report concerns to your supervisor. Training and equipment are provided, with a daytime-only schedule across NSW and ACT regions.

Qualifications

• Check requirements include National Police Check, First Aid (HLTAID011) + CPR (HLTAID009), and Aged Care Worker Screening Check (when launched nationally).
• Requires a registered, insured vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
• Smartphone with apps and mobile data, plus a caring attitude to clients.

Requirements

What we need from you

Checks & Certificates

These are required for working in aged care. We'll guide you through how to obtain each one:

• National Police Check
• First Aid (HLTAID011) + CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate
• Aged Care Worker Screening Check — required once this check launches nationally. Click ACS will notify all staff and support the transition process at that time.

These are obtained at the applicant's cost — we'll point you to the right place for each.

Transport & Tech

• Registered, insured & reliable motor vehicle (minimum third party insurance)
• Valid, unrestricted drivers licence
• Smart phone with capacity to download apps + access to mobile data
• Happy, friendly attitude
• Genuine care for our clients and their well-being — willing to go the extra mile when needed
• Reliability + consistency — our clients rely on us to support them with things they can no longer do, so they need us to show up consistently, as often as we can

Please note: This is a daytime-only position, with work hours from Monday to Friday. Hours vary by region and client load, which typically averages 15–25 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as our client base grows.

How it works

Our hiring process

1. First round interview

   A chat about the role, your availability and the areas you can cover.

2. 90-minute trial session

   An unpaid 90-minute session assisting one of our senior cleaners — so you get a real feel for the work, and we can see your cleaning in action.

3. Three paid buddy shifts

   Three days of fully paid shifts alongside an experienced team member, learning the ropes.

4. Out on your own

   You’re set up with your own clients and start running your visits solo.
