Job summary

WorkPac is recruiting a senior full‑stack engineer/technical lead to shape architecture and deliver enterprise‑scale digital solutions in Brisbane. You will mentor engineers, conduct code reviews and align technical priorities with business goals across cloud, data and AI initiatives.

You will partner with product owners and stakeholders to promote DevOps excellence, testing, security and observability, ensuring scalable, secure outcomes for complex projects in a major resources environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a full stack engineer, tech lead or similar senior role
• Strong experience with C#, React and TypeScript
• Proven leadership and mentoring of software teams
• Knowledge of solution/enterprise-scale architecture
• Experience across DevOps and modern cloud-native environments; Azure a plus
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Experience with TOGAF or other architecture frameworks is advantageous
• Experience delivering data, AI or analytics products is highly regarded
• Mining/resources/OT domain experience is advantageous

Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing

Working within a large digital environment, you will provide technical and people leadership to a team of full stack software engineers, supporting the design, development and delivery of enterprise-scale digital solutions. You will work closely with product owners, managers and technical teams to drive strong software engineering practices, DevOps excellence and ongoing innovation across digital and AI.

Your role will include defining solution architecture and technical designs, overseeing development quality, conducting code reviews and mentoring engineers. You will maintain oversight of infrastructure, architecture and codebases, promote engineering and DevOps standards and work with product teams to align technical priorities with broader business objectives. You will also support continuous improvement across cloud, application, data and AI environments while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and sustainable.

What You Will Need

• 10+ years experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, Technical Lead or similar senior software engineering position
• Strong experience with C#, React and TypeScript
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing software engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of solution architecture, software architecture and enterprise-scale application development
• Experience across DevOps, IT operations, platform engineering and modern cloud-native environments
• Azure experience highly regarded
• Knowledge of observability, security, log analytics, automated testing and software engineering best practices
• Experience working within digital teams or large-scale digital transformation programs
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with TOGAF or other enterprise/domain architecture frameworks advantageous
• Experience delivering data, AI or analytics products highly regarded
• Mining, resources, asset maintenance or Operational Technology experience highly regarded
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive technical outcomes
