Job summary

Hume AI is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to own the developer documentation for our voice AI platform. You will collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product partners to ensure APIs and examples are understandable and reliable, guiding developers from initial exploration to working integration.

This hands-on role covers technical writing, information architecture, code samples, and documentation infrastructure.

Qualifications

Experience building or owning a live developer documentation site.
Excellent technical writing, clear and accurate.
Sufficient programming depth to run integrations and write working examples.
Experience with APIs or SDKs and understanding developer needs.
Strong information architecture and navigation sense.
Familiarity with version control and collaborating with engineers.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain the developer documentation site.
Write API and SDK references, quickstarts, guides and explanations of platform concepts.
Create runnable code samples for working integrations.
Collaborate with engineers to document new APIs and keep docs aligned with releases.
Improve tooling and workflows for reviewing, testing, generating and publishing documentation.
Identify gaps via developer feedback and hands-on testing of the documented experience.
Establish reusable writing and documentation patterns for easier contributions.
Own the documentation quality and maintainability as the product evolves.
