Job summary

Action Workforce Pty is seeking a Part Time Dock Hand to join a first-class distribution centre in Canberra. The role involves loading/unloading, sorting from the conveyor, scanning freight, inspecting items for damage and reporting, logging items, and operating pallet jacks. You will work with drivers and colleagues, maintaining safety and a clean working environment, with toolbox meetings.

Days are MON and TUE with a 2-day roster; hours are 06:00–10:00. Immediate start required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in this role or similar warehouse role.
• Manual lifting – rated 20Kg
• Must have great attitude/people skills
• Strong safety experience
• Physical stamina to work in a demanding environment
• Successful completion of onboarding including police check and functional assessment
• Own transport

Responsibilities

• Handle loads/unloads and sorting/staging from conveyor system.
• Scan freight and inspect items for damages; report as required.
• Log items and operate pallet jacks and/or trolleys.
• Maintain highest safety standards and clean working environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and drivers; attend toolbox sessions.

Site/Location: Renowned delivery company with national profile located in Canberra servicing the immediate regional area

Role: Contribute to the success of the business, handling loads/unloads, sorting and staging from conveyor system, scan freight, inspect items for any damages and report when required, log items, operate pallet jacks and/or trolleys, maintain highest safety standards and clean working environment, work in collaborative way with colleagues and drivers, attend toolboxes

Role Type: PART TIME ongoing

Days: MON + TUE, 2 Day roster every week

Hours: Start/Finish 0600-1000

Pay: Ordinary Time $42.67/hour

Start:Must be able to start immediately

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in this role or similar warehouse role
