Job summary

The Acquire Group in Sydney is seeking an accomplished Commercial Finance Executive to lead commercial finance for a $300m business. Reporting to the Group CFO and partnering with the MD, this role sits at the heart of pricing, margins and growth.

You will own pricing architecture, run RGM, assess tenders, and deliver profitability analytics across channels and products. A CA/CPA or equivalent is preferred, with senior finance partnering experience in FMCG or multi-channel environments.

Qualifications

• Significant senior commercial finance or business partnering experience in multi-channel FMCG, retail, wholesale or product-based organisations.
• Ownership of pricing, margin and revenue growth initiatives.
• Ability to influence senior executives without direct authority.
• Strong forecasting, reporting and business-partnering disciplines.
• Excellent analytical capability with BI and data platforms.
• CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Commercial Finance Executive to join a sizeable, market-leading Australian organisation operating in the consumer products and distribution sector. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, with a close partnering relationship with the Managing Director, this newly created role will take commercial finance leadership of this Sydney based business generating close on $300 in annual revenue.

This is not a traditional reporting-focused Finance position. It is a highly commercial leadership role sitting at the heart of the business, responsible for driving better decisions across pricing, margin, revenue growth, customer profitability, tenders, investment and commercial performance.

As the dedicated commercial finance leader, you will work alongside the senior leadership team across Sales, Marketing, Category, Product and Operations. You will bring financial rigour and independent commercial challenge to key decisions while helping the business identify and execute opportunities for profitable growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Owning pricing architecture, margin guardrails and Revenue Growth Management (RGM) across the portfolio.

We are looking for a commercially minded finance executive who is comfortable operating as both a trusted partner and constructive challenger to the ELT. You will ideally bring:

• Significant senior commercial finance or business partnering experience within a multi-channel, FMCG, retail, wholesale or product-based organisation.
• Demonstrated ownership of pricing, margin and revenue growth initiatives.
• Strong experience influencing senior commercial executives without relying on direct authority.
• Excellent commercial modelling capability across tenders, customer profitability, business cases, scenarios and investment analysis.
• Experience establishing effective forecasting, reporting and business-partnering disciplines.
• Strong analytical capability and confidence working with BI and data platforms.
• The executive presence to operate credibly with a Group CFO, Managing Director and senior leadership team.
• A CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
