Job summary

Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service in Inglewood, QLD is seeking a Diversional Therapist to design and deliver engaging recreational programs that enhance wellbeing and quality of life for residents. You will partner with residents, families and colleagues to create meaningful, person-centred experiences that support overall happiness and dignity.

You’ll monitor outcomes, adapt activities to changing needs, and promote participation and inclusion while maintaining safe, supportive care.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or progress toward completion.
  • Experience designing, delivering and evaluating person-centred recreational or lifestyle programs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Excellent organisation, initiative and problem-solving skills with a focus on safe, quality outcomes.

As a Diversional Therapist, you'll help create a vibrant and engaging environment where older people feel valued, connected and supported. From developing personalised lifestyle programs to partnering with residents, families and colleagues, you'll contribute to experiences that enhance wellbeing and bring meaning to everyday life.
