Job summary

Darling Downs Health is seeking a Diversional Therapist to design meaningful activities that support wellbeing, independence and social connection for older people in the Darling Downs region.

You'll work with residents, families and a supportive healthcare team to create person-centred programs that enrich daily life and bring moments of joy. Certification IV in Leisure and Health or progression toward it is preferred, with strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, a related qualification, or progress towards completion.
  • Experience designing, delivering and evaluating person-centred recreational or lifestyle programs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Excellent organisation, initiative and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safe, quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and delivering engaging recreational and social programs that support wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.
