Zusammenfassung

Anglicare North Queensland Limited is seeking a dedicated Outreach Worker to provide assertive support for clients with substance use in public settings. You will assist with case planning, referrals, and transportation to appointments while collaborating with the Bama Dakil Diversionary Centre and other agencies.

You will work to reduce alcohol and drug uptake, ensure safety, and link clients with health and social services.

Qualifikationen

• Recognised Certificate IV in Community Services (or equivalent) or enrolment in studies preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with clients experiencing substance use, homelessness, mental health issues, or related challenges.
• Ability to network with First Responders and health services, and to comply with policies and IT systems.

Aufgaben

• Provide assertive and respectful outreach and practical support to clients who are frequent users of substances in public places.
• Contribute to case planning, advocacy, referrals and transportation to appointments with mainstream or specialist services.
• Coordinate with the Bama Dakil Diversionary Centre and other referred clients from agencies such as Queensland Health and Corrective Services.
