Job summary

Quicksilver Cruises based in Port Douglas is seeking a Dive Instructor to join our experienced dive team. You will deliver safe, professional diving experiences for guests from around the world, leading certified dives and giving clear briefings.

Reporting to the Dive Operations Manager, you will conduct equipment checks, maintain high safety standards, and contribute to a positive team culture while remaining calm under changing conditions.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid, CPR and oxygen provider qualifications.
• Commercial diving experience, preferably in a tourism operation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety and following operational procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Professional and positive approach to guest service.
• Calm demeanour and sound decision-making in changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Leading certified dives, conducting PADI DSD experiences and our Oceanwalker program.
• Delivering dive briefings and ensuring guests understand safety and operational requirements.
• Providing high-quality instruction and supervision to divers of varying experience levels.
• Conducting equipment checks and maintaining high standards of dive safety.
• Monitoring guest wellbeing and responding appropriately to changing conditions.

Quicksilver Cruises is seeking an enthusiastic and safety-focused Dive Instructor to join our experienced dive team based in Port Douglas.

Operating daily on the Great Barrier Reef, this is an opportunity to work in one of the world's most iconic marine environments while delivering exceptional diving experiences to guests from around the world.

About the role

As a Dive Instructor, you will play an important role in delivering safe, professional and memorable diving experiences for our guests.
