Job summary

Experience Co in Cairns is seeking a Dive Supervisor to lead the on-board Dive Team aboard Reef Fleet vessels, delivering exceptional scuba experiences and upholding safety and guest service standards.

Applicants must be based in Cairns, available weekends/public holidays, hold a current PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor with active teaching status, and be a PDAI Dive Instructor with RSA and Food Safety certificates; duties include briefings, teaching, supervising dives, equipment maintenance,

Qualifications

• Based in Cairns with immediate start preferred.
• Experience as a Dive Instructor or Dive Supervisor with strong customer service.
• Current PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor with active teaching status.
• RSA and Food Safety/Hygiene certificates are required.
• First Aid, CPR and Oxygen Provider qualifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional scuba diving experiences for certified divers and students.
• Lead briefing and safety inductions for dives.
• Teach PADI courses in accordance with standards.
• Supervise guided dives and ensure safe practices.
• Maintain and clean dive equipment and assist with deck duties.
• Support onboard food and beverage service when required.
• Promote dive courses, underwater photography and retail products.
• Create memorable guest experiences through outstanding service.
• Collaborate with crew to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Lead the on-board Dive Team for in-water activities.

• Be available to work weekends and public holidays.
• Hold a current PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor qualification with active teaching status.
• Be an experienced PDAI Dive Instructor

About the Role

Due to continued success and ongoing growth, we're looking for enthusiastic Dive Supervisor to help deliver unforgettable experiences on the Great Barrier Reef.

Working aboard our Reef Fleet vessels, you'll introduce guests to one of the world's most spectacular natural wonders while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional scuba diving experiences for certified divers and students.
• Conducting dive briefings and safety inductions.
• Teaching PADI courses in accordance with PADI standards.
• Supervising guided dives and ensuring safe diving practices.
• Preparing, maintaining and cleaning dive equipment.
• Assisting with vessel operations, including loading, unloading and general deck duties.
• Supporting onboard food and beverage service where required.
• Promoting dive courses, underwater photography and retail products.
• Creating memorable guest experiences through outstanding customer service.
• Working collaboratively with the crew to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Lead the on-board Dive Team to facilitate a range of in-water activities

About You

You're an experienced Dive Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and loves sharing your passion for diving with others. You have excellent communication skills, enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and are committed to providing exceptional customer experiences.

You'll also have:

• A current dive medical and dive insurance.
• Experience as a Dive Instructor or Dive Supervisor, including strong customer service skills.
• Current RSA and Food Safety/Hygiene certificates.
• A strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Oxygen Provider qualifications (highly regarded).
