Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks an experienced leader to plan and deliver road maintenance programs across the Central West region. The role requires directing teams, managing budgets, and ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery in line with organisational objectives.

You will mentor engineers and supervisors, foster strong stakeholder relationships, and travel as required from Orange or Bowenfels bases. This is a permanent full-time, on-site role based in Orange/Lithgow area.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering qualification from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualifications.
• Experience leading road maintenance, civil construction or infrastructure delivery.
• Ability to plan, prioritise resources and manage budgets to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of road maintenance programs and projects, ensuring work is safe, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Manage road maintenance teams and resources, allocate work, support workforce planning and drive continuous improvement.
• Drive business performance by implementing efficient practices, promoting innovation and value for money.
• Maintain strong WHS, environmental and quality management outcomes through robust systems of work.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and the community, overseeing minor contracts and providing governance.
