Job summary

Sharp and Carter in Melbourne's Western Suburbs is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to own all distribution and warehouse operations, leading a team of around 10 forklift drivers and machine operators on a day shift. You will report to the Plant Manager and contribute to site performance.

The role requires a proven track record managing manufacturing warehouse teams, hands-on leadership, strong safety focus, and proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a warehouse or distribution team in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating within a unionised, EBA-covered workforce is essential.
• Strong safety mindset and hands-on leadership style.
• Proficiency in SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Clear, professional communicator across all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading of finished product onto outbound trucks, managing pick times, damage rates and delivery performance.
• Drive a strong safety culture, including hazard identification and risk assessment processes.

• Contribute to CAPEX and investment proposals for the site.

About the Role
