Job summary

Egis Group in Western Australia is seeking a Distribution Engineer or Designer to join our WA Energy team on exciting distribution projects for major utilities.

You will deliver detailed design for overhead lines, underground networks and substations, lead project delivery, review designs, and collaborate with Western Power, Horizon Power and Synergy while supporting bid documentation and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in a similar role with WA utility networks.
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Design.
• Full drivers license.
• Experience delivering overhead and underground distribution network projects up to 66kV.
• Ability to lead project delivery for key distribution projects across Western Australia.
• Experience in reviewing deliverables including design drawings, documentation and design files.
• Familiarity with line design programs such as Poles n Wires or similar.
• Experience with producing design drawings with MicroStation.
• A good attitude to mentoring junior staff through quality feedback and one on one guidance.
• Ability to attend site and undertake site visits.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

• Join WA Energy team and support project deliverables interstate as needed.
• Detailed design for distribution overhead lines, underground cable network and substations.
• Deliver distribution design projects for WA utilities such as Western Power, Horizon Power and Synergy.
• Support with the preparation of project and bid documentation as required.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
