Job summary

Egis Group in Western Australia is seeking a Distribution Engineer or Designer to work on complex distribution design projects for WA utilities such as Western Power, Horizon Power and Synergy. The role spans overhead lines, underground networks and substations, with opportunity to contribute from WA to interstate work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience supporting WA utility networks.
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Design.
• Full driver's license.
• Experience delivering overhead and underground distribution projects up to 66kV.
• Ability to lead project delivery for key WA distribution projects.
• Experience reviewing design drawings, documentation and design files.
• Familiarity with line design programs such as Poles n Wires or similar.
• Experience producing design drawings with MicroStation.
• Mentoring junior staff through quality feedback and 1-on-1 guidance.
• Ability to attend site and undertake site visits.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder management at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Detailed design for distribution overhead lines, underground cables, and substations.
• Deliver distribution design projects and support project outcomes for WA utilities.
• Assist with preparation of project and bid documentation as required.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
