Job summary

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is seeking a Solicitor to join our leading Disputes team in Melbourne. You will handle a diverse range of matters including class actions, general commercial litigation and product liability for high-profile national and international clients.

You will work with Aoife Xuereb and other partners across local, national, and global teams, contributing to excellent client service and developing business opportunities while gaining extensive client exposure.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a top-tier, national, or international firm, or an in-house environment.
• Strong track record in commercial litigation, class actions, and/or product liability matters.
• Excellent legal skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a diverse range of matters including class actions, general commercial litigation and product liability for high-profile national and international clients.
• Contribute to excellent client service, manage files, identify issues and provide proactive solutions.
• Develop and pursue opportunities with existing and new clients.
• Have extensive client exposure and opportunities to build a network of relationships across local, national and international teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues in interstate and international offices and participate in a market-leading disputes practice.
