Job summary

Blooms The Chemist Coogee is seeking a motivated Full-Time Dispensary Technician to support our Pharmacists in delivering a great customer experience and education on health products. You will be based in the pharmacy and contribute to health screening services and patient care.

You will dispense medicines, manage prescription inventory, and coordinate NHS and Community Pharmacy claims, while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer care in a pharmacy setting.
• Dispensing medicines in a pharmacy environment.
• Knowledge of health products and customer education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent customer experience with warm reception and helpful service.
• Coordinate prescription inventory, stock levels, rotation and security.
• Dispense medicines per dispensing principles and ensure accurate claims processing (NHS/Community Pharmacy).
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and conduct training attendance.

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Full-Time Dispensary Technician to join our successful and well-established pharmacy team in a great location.

About the role

The role of the Dispensary Technician is to support our Pharmacists in providing a great customer experience, helpful advice and education on health products, provision of health screening services, timely and relevant advice and assistance promoting Blooms The Chemist Coogee. The role is based in the Pharmacy.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a consistent customer experience for every customer, where they will receive a warm welcome, be provided with exceptional service and advice, and a heartfelt farewell
• Provide an environment where the customer is welcomed and has an easy shopping experience
• Care for customers and drive sales by providing advice on a range of products to suit needs
• Maintain awareness of customers at all times, providing service, direction and product knowledge as required
• Coordinate the control of prescription only medication inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and integrity, including stock ordering, stock rotation, temperature control, stock integrity and security, and stock take
• Dispense medicine in accordance with active dispensing principles to maximise care provided to customer
• Coordinate claim processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness, including NHS claims and Community Pharmacy Agreement claims
• Ensure compliance and promotion of all occupational health and safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of all employees and visitors
• Conduct yourself with the highest legal, moral and ethical standards
• Attend all required training sessions

About you

• S2 & S3 Training
• Cert IV in Community Pharmacy a bonus
• Demonstrated experience in providing customer care in a pharmacy setting
• Pharmacy and Health product knowledge
• Interest in providing Health advice
• Demonstrated experience in dispensing
• Proven ability to coordinate NHS and Community Pharmacy claims
