Job summary

Community Care Chemist in Geelong is seeking a Dispensary Technician to join our not-for-profit pharmacy network, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across six locations.

You will accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions, assist with packing and processing, maintain patient records, support stock control, and work closely with pharmacists to deliver safe, accessible healthcare for our community. Training and development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dispensary Technician in a pharmacy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist with medication packing, prescription processing and dispensary administration.
• Maintain accurate patient records and deliver professional, friendly customer service.
• Support stock control activities including ordering and inventory management.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and the wider team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Maintain an organized and compliant dispensary environment.
• Participate in training and expand pharmacy knowledge.

What you'll be doing

Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist

Assist with medication packing, prescription processing and dispensary administration

Maintain accurate patient records and deliver professional, friendly customer service

Support stock control activities, including ordering, receipting and inventory management

Work collaboratively with pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team to deliver safe, high-quality healthcare services

Maintain a well-organised, compliant and professional dispensary environment

Participate in ongoing training and development to expand your pharmacy knowledge and skills

Working closely with pharmacists and pharmacy teams to achieve the best outcomes for our patients

What we're looking for

We're looking for people who:

Have previous experience as a Dispensary Technician working in a pharmacy environment

Are passionate about helping people and supporting patient care

Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team

Bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Have experience with dispensing software and pharmacy systems (desirable)
