Reporting to the CEO, this is a pivotal role that blends operational leadership, clinical governance, and commercial performance.

Why Join Scaffidi Group?

With more than 50 pharmacies operating across metropolitan and regional Australia, The Scaffidi Group continues to experience significant growth across multiple well-known pharmacy brands, including United Chemists, Priceline Pharmacy, and Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse.

Joining our team means becoming part of a respected, family-owned organisation that genuinely values its people, community impact, and customer experience. We are committed to innovation, continuous improvement, and creating an environment where our teams can thrive.

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Become a key member of our national management team
  • Influence Pharmacy strategy and operational performance across multiple pharmacy brands
  • Mentor and support Pharmacy Managers and Pharmacy teams to achieve outstanding results
  • Drive meaningful improvements in community experience, team culture, and business growth

About the Role:

As Dispensary Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the clinical KPI’s of the pharmacies under the groups management. You will have the opportunity to develop a team of experienced pharmacists through leadership and expertise across our dispensary team ensuring consistent, safe, and compliant operations while driving the development of professional pharmacy services.

You’ll lead a team including a Pharmacy Services Pharmacist, Dispensary Administration Assistant, and Pharmacy Risk and Quality Manager, and work closely with Regional Pharmacist Managers and our Executive team to deliver on both clinical and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead dispensary workflow development, standard operating procedures, and operational budgets across all sites
  • Drive professional services income and support the growth of pharmacy services
Ensure compliance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia, National Health Act regulations, and the Pharmacist Code of Ethics
  • Coordinate internal audits and manage incident reporting to improve patient safety and workflow efficiency
  • Oversee ethical buying, generic supplier relationships, and stock management to grow gross profit per script

About You:

You bring proven experience with the CPA program, along with a solid understanding of Dose Administration Aids (DAAs) and pharmacy regulatory compliance, and a strong grasp of KPIs, budgets, wage percentages, and GP management.

Your communication skills are excellent, whether you're interviewing, counselling, negotiating, or writing reports and you know how to engage and influence stakeholders at every level of an organisation.

While it's not essential, we're particularly keen to hear from candidates who are a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA), or who bring strong industry experience within the pharmacy sector in another capacity. This background is highly regarded, though we welcome applications from experienced pharmacy operational managers more broadly.

You'll also bring:

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A proven ability to read the market and lead change with confidence
  • Solid management experience, ideally at a senior level
