Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking a Dispatch Officer for Rolleston Open Cut in Central Queensland. The role reports to the Fleet Management Supervisor and focuses on equipment allocation, real-time fleet monitoring, and reporting production statistics to optimise operations.

Ideal candidates have experience operating large mining equipment, proficiency with Dispatch 6, ProVision 3 and Terrain, strong leadership and communication, and a solid understanding of risk management and safe work procedures.

• Monitor radio, radar, operator awareness and high-precision systems.

Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Dispatch Officer to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the production team and reporting directly to the Fleet Management Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Work closely with Production Supervisors and Coordinators to ensure equipment allocation is both optimised and prioritised to achieve planned objectives.
• Continuously monitoring the mining fleet to capture information and ensure the availability of accurate real‑time data for the operations.
• Liaising with the Production, Technical Services and Maintenance Departments to collect, validate, and report production statistics.
• Monitor the radio communication system, geological radar, operator awareness and equipment high precision systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience and competencies operating large mining equipment.
• Experience using Fleet Management Software (Dispatch 6, ProVision 3, Terrain)
• High computer literacy skills
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Developed understanding of risk management and safe work procedures.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.
• Previous experience in the industry.
• Relevant qualifications
