Job summary

Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development NSW in New South Wales seeks an Emergency Management Coordinator to lead planning and preparation for natural disaster and biosecurity responses in the Hunter Local Land Services region.

You will be part of the Hunter Partnerships Team, building relationships with regional stakeholders and advising landholders on prevention, preparedness, response and recovery actions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in emergency response management situations.
• Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to plan and make recommendations with respect to preparedness for, response to, and recovery from biosecurity and natural disaster emergencies.
• Previous experience in managing and undertaking a range of projects and associated activities with a view to achieving outcomes.
• Have a current NSW Driver License and the ability and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead emergency planning and response coordination for Hunter LLS region.
• Build and maintain collaborative engagement with stakeholders, community and customers.
