Job summary

Multitask is seeking Disability Support Workers to provide care in the Lismore and surrounding areas on a part-time or casual basis. You will support participants in homes and community settings, with duties spanning daily living help, community activities, and goal-oriented programs.

Competitive pay under the SCHADS Award (Level 2, Pay Point 1 or 2) with shift allowances, plus salary packaging options. A flexible, fortnighly rotating roster supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
• First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support participants in their own homes, day programs, work, or after-school and school holiday programs.
• Assist with daily living tasks: cooking, cleaning, budgeting, personal care, medication administration.
• Organise and participate in social outings and community activities.
• Facilitate tailored programs to promote independence, health and wellbeing.
• Build trusted, meaningful relationships with participants and families.

No two days are ever the same. You will support our participants in their own homes, day programs, work, or during after‑school and school holiday programs. Your role will blend essential daily support with life‑enriching activities:

Independence & Daily Living: Assist with household tasks like cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting, personal care, and medication administration.

Community Connection: Organise and share in fun social outings, holidays, concerts, and trips to theme parks.

Goal Achievement: Facilitate tailored programs that promote individual choice, health, well‑being, and independent living.

To succeed in this role, you will also need:

Experience and/or relevant qualifications in disability, aged care, or community services (preferred but not essential).

A current Australian Driver’s Licence

A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or a willingness to obtain one prior to starting).

A current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or a willingness to obtain one).
