Job summary

DAWN Services in Townsville/Ingham area is hiring ten full-time Support Workers to assist participants with high physical, intellectual, and mental health needs. You’ll provide personal care, domestic support, and community access while monitoring progress and communicating with families and the team.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening or ability to obtain before commencing employment.
• Completed NDIS Worker Orientation 'Quality, Safety and You' module.
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
• Current, valid Blue Card (QLD).
• Current Queensland driver's licence or international licence permitting use in QLD.
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Smartphone with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: showering, grooming, dressing, medication assistance.
• Domestic support: light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation.
• Community access & transport: attending appointments, social outings, shopping.

We are currently recruiting for ten full-time positions based in Townsville, Ingham and surrounding areas. You will support participants with high physical, intellectual, and/or mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:

• Personal care: showering, grooming, dressing, and medication assistance
• Domestic support: light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
• Community access & transport: attending appointments, social outings, grocery shopping
• Monitoring & reporting: tracking participant progress and reporting concerns
• Effective communication with participants, families, and team members
• Behavioural support for individuals with complex or high-intensity needs

Shifts include weekdays, evenings, weekends, overnights, and sleepovers. Supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs and high intensity participants
