Job summary

Drake International in Geelong, Victoria, is looking for a dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide personal care, medication administration, and daily living support for a client living at home with a spinal cord injury.

This casual/ongoing role offers shift patterns (7–10am and 4–7pm), above‑award pay, paid training, and a structured onboarding with buddy shifts to set you up for success while making a real difference in someone’s life.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate 3 in healthcare.
• Current accredited First aid and CPR.
• NDIS Screening Clearance.
• Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain).
• Medication certificate (or willing to obtain).
• Right to live and work within Australia.
• Valid Australian Driver's License.
• Valid Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Personal care.
• Medication administration.
• Manual Handling (Hoist).
• Bowel Care management.
• Full supervision of the client.
• Follow a behaviour support plan.
• Domestic assistance.
• Continuous clinical assessment of client.
• Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care.
• Support the client with activities at home and out in the community.

Work Type: Casual / Ongoing Shifts/ Regular Shift Patterns

Pay Rate: $39 - $49/hour

Make a real difference in our client's life while keeping the flexibility to live your own. This role offers monthly rosters based on your availability, along with a structured onboarding program, buddy shifts and paid training so you feel supported from day one - plus hands‑on clinical experience support our female client, who is living at home with a Spinal Cord Injury, with a mix of 2:1 and 1:1 care.

Must have availability for:

• 7-10am shifts
• 4-7pm shifts
