Job summary

Medox in Shepparton, VIC is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide complex home-based care for a female client with a C2 spinal cord injury. You will perform personal care, medication administration, and domestic tasks while delivering 2:1 care alongside an RN in a supportive home setting.

This casual role offers above award pay, paid training, and ongoing development, with monthly rosters and buddy shifts to help you settle in quickly.

Qualifications

• Experience with spinal cord injury care is essential.
• Manual handling experience is essential.
• Current accredited First aid and CPR is required.
• NDIS Screening Clearance is required.
• Right to live and work in Australia must be held.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and assistance with ADLs.
• Medication administration and supervision.
• Domestic assistance and household tasks.
• Bowel care management.
• Ventilation/Suctioning support.
• Tracheostomy care and management.
• Airway assistance and management.
• Ongoing clinical assessment of the client.
• Community participation and activities.

Location: Shepparton, VIC

Work Type: Casual / Ongoing Shifts/ Regular Shift Patterns

Pay Rate: $41-45/hour

This role offers monthly rosters based on your availability, along with a structured onboarding program, buddy shifts and paid training so you feel supported from day one - plus hands‑on clinical experience caring for a female client with a C2 Spinal Cord Injury with complex needs in a home setting for 2:1 care along side an RN.

The Role: Disability Support Worker

• Personal care
• Medication administration
• Domestic assistance
• Bowel Care management
• Assist with Ventilation/Suctioning
• Work with Tracheostomy care and management
• Airway assistance and management
• Continuous clinical assessment of client
• Assist alongside the Support Worker with ADL's
• Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care
• Support the client with activities at home and out in the community

What You'll Bring
