Job summary

Drake International is seeking a Casual Disability Support Worker / Enrolled Nurse for Sydney locations. You will provide in-home clinical support, including airway management and tracheostomy care, with monthly rosters and paid training.

The role supports adults and children with complex care needs across Tempe, Matraville and Bondi. The position requires relevant nursing or support qualifications, a minimum of two years' experience in disability or complex care, and current First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or Enrolled Nurse qualification is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in disability or complex care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive clinical support, including airway management via tracheostomy.
• Perform tracheostomy suctioning as per care plans.
• Administer enteral feeding via NG tube and PEG, monitoring tolerance.

The Role: Disability Support Worker / Enrolled Nurse

• Deliver comprehensive clinical support, including airway management via tracheostomy.
• Perform tracheostomy suctioning in accordance with clinical care plans and prescribed procedures.
• Administer enteral feeding via a nasogastric (NG) tube and Peg and monitor for tolerance and wellbeing.
• Provide personal care and activities of daily living.
• Facilitate and support communication, play, social interaction, and meaningful engagement.
• Assist with safe manual handling, positioning, repositioning, and transfers in line with manual handling protocols.
• Administer medications in accordance with prescribed treatment plans and organisational policies.
• Provide basic household assistance to maintain a safe, clean, and supportive care environment.

What You'll Bring
