Job summary

Nextt is seeking a compassionate female Disability Support Worker to support a participant living with a leg amputation in Raymond Terrace. The role involves hands-on complex care, personal support, and working two staff per shift.

Shifts are 7:00am–9:00am, with a 2:1 roster and additional shifts available. You will document shift notes and collaborate with the support team to maintain the participant's comfort, dignity and independence.

Are you a compassionate and dependable female Disability Support Worker who is confident supporting people with complex physical care needs?

Nextt is seeking female Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting a participant living with a leg amputation. This is an opportunity to provide meaningful, hands-on support while helping the participant maintain their comfort, dignity and independence.

The role is 2:1 support, with two Support Workers rostered to each shift.

About the Role

You will assist with a range of daily care and support needs, including:

• Personal care and continence support
• Complex bowel care
• Mobility assistance and manual handling
• Medication assistance
• Diabetes support
• Pressure care and wound management
• Domestic assistance and household tasks
• Following Behaviour Support strategies and individual support plans
• Supporting the participant to remain as independent and comfortable as possible
• Completing clear and accurate shift notes and communicating with the wider support team

Experience in complex care, personal care, manual handling or continence support will be highly regarded.

Shift Details

Monday to Sunday:

• 7:00am – 9:00am
• 2 Support Workers per shift
• Additional shifts may become available

We're looking for Support Workers who can provide consistent and dependable availability.

Pay Rates

SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

• Base hourly rate: $36.81/hr
• Afternoon shift (ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday–Friday): $40.49/hr
• Active Night shift (finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday–Friday): $41.23/hr
• Saturday: $51.54/hr
• Sunday: $66.26/hr
• Public Holiday: $80.99/hr
