Job summary

Inspirational Disability Services in Singleton NSW is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker. The role involves one-on-one support for individuals with disabilities, including personal care, daily tasks, and community activities, with sleepovers and weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and respectful disposition.
• Experience supporting young people or individuals with disabilities.
• Comfortable with personal care and overnight support for female clients.
• Medication administration experience preferred but not essential.
• Full driver’s license with reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR current.
• Ability to work with families and care teams; good communication.
• Manual vehicle driving preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in daily activities, including personal care, household tasks, foods preparation, and community outings.
• Encourage independence, communication and confidence.
• Assist individuals in developing and achieving goals, promoting independence and self-determination.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support provided and any changes in the individual's needs or preferences.
