Job summary

Inspirational Disability Services in Singleton NSW is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker. The role involves one-on-one support for individuals with disabilities, including personal care, daily tasks, and community activities, with sleepovers and weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and respectful disposition.
• Experience supporting young people or individuals with disabilities.
• Comfortable with personal care and overnight support for female clients.
• Medication administration experience preferred but not essential.
• Full driver’s license with reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR current.
• Ability to work with families and care teams; good communication.
• Manual vehicle driving preferred but not essential.

About You

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful
• Experience supporting young people or individuals with disabilities (required)
• Comfortable providing personal care and overnight support with female clients
• Previous experience administering medication (preferred but not essential)
• Full driver's licence and reliable vehicle (with comprehensive insurance)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and First Aid/CPR
• Cert III Individual Support, equivalent or greater
• Ability to work with others and communicate effectively with the family and care team
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle (preferred but not essential)

PLEASE NOTE: Sleepovers and weekends are required in this position. Please do not apply if you are unable to do set sleepovers on a fortnightly rotating roster. All employment is casual with the opportunity to move to part-time. We are based in Singleton but are looking for staff to work in the Maitland area as well!
