AHS Nursing Agency is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join a support team in Dee Why NSW 2099. This casual role offers shifts to complement your schedule, with responsibilities including personal care, domestic tasks, and community access.

You will work with a male participant who has autism/vision needs, following care plans and maintaining documentation. Applicants should have WWCC, WWCC, and a valid first aid certificate; flexibility and reliability are valued as part of a supportive

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Experience supporting children with Autism, sensory needs, or vision impairments.
• Ability to provide personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
• Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve goals and maintain community participation.
• Physically capable of safe mobility support and assisting with community access.
• Ability to build rapport with children and create a positive, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support.
• Assist with domestic tasks.
• Support community access and participation.
• Encourage safe mobility and confidence while walking.
• Assist the participant to maintain independence within daily routines.
• Work collaboratively with family and the broader care team.
• Provide practical support tailored to the participant’s individual needs.
