Job summary

AHS Nursing Agency is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our Dee Why NSW team. This casual role offers an attractive hourly rate depending on experience and roster, with ongoing shifts across evenings.

You will support a male child (8 years) with autism and sensory needs, assist with daily living, personal care, and community access, and work closely with families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Experience supporting children with Autism, sensory needs, or vision impairments.
• Ability to provide personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
• Proactive approach to supporting clients to participate in community activities.
• Physically capable of providing safe mobility support and assisting with community access.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with families and the broader care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with domestic tasks and household chores.
• Support community access and participation for the child.
• Encourage safe mobility and confidence during outings.
• Help maintain independence within daily routines.
• Collaborate with family and care team; document care plans accurately.
