Job summary

McArthur Community Care is seeking a reliable Disability Support Worker to assist clients in the Ipswich region under the QLD Community Care and Disability Contract (Part Time).

As a Registered NDIS Provider in Queensland, MCC delivers person-centred supports to maintain independence and social connections, helping clients achieve their goals specified in their NDIS plans. Training and flexible hours are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with clients who have a physical disability.
• Current Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
• Current Manual Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Medication certificates/experience is advantageous.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Household tasks including cleaning and laundry.
• Skill development: shopping, cooking, catching public transport.
• Transport to appointments and/or shopping.
• Social & community participation with clients.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play an important part in assisting people to achieve their goals as specified in their NDIS plan.

As a Disability Support Worker and respected ambassador of McArthur you will be required to assist people with:

• Household tasks - household cleaning and laundry

Applicants will require:

• Relevant Industry experience working with clients who have a physical disability
• Certificate III in Individual Support; Aged Care, Disability Cert IV or equivalent
• Current Working with children blue card and NDIS workers screening check
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Current Manual Handling Certificate or willing to obtain
• Medication Certificates/experience will be looked at favourably
