Job summary

Australian Care Agency in Geelong is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide personal care, community access, domestic assistance, transport, and behaviour support for participants in Geelong and nearby areas.

You will work with flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons and weekends, with some 2-hour shift requirements. A range of essential checks and certifications are required to apply.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
• Working with Children Check and Police Check are required.
• Cert 3 or 4 in Disability or equivalent is required.
• First Aid and CPR certificates must be current.
• NDIS Orientation module and Covid-19 infection control module must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene support.
• Assist with community access and social participation.
• Deliver domestic assistance and transport to appointments.
• Support behaviour with Behaviour Support Plans.
• Offer goal-focused, person-centred supports.

Essential Requirements

Shift Information

• Shifts range from 2 to 7 hours
• Morning, afternoon and weekend shifts available
• Must be willing to work 2-hour shifts when required
• Flexible availability is essential
