Job summary

SA Community Care and Disability Contract seeks compassionate disability support workers for a female client in Christies Beach. The role involves in-home, 24/7 support with a rotating roster, including overnight shifts and comprehensive care needs.

You will provide personal care, nutrition support, and medication assistance while maintaining professional communication with the client and team. Training is provided, and long-term opportunities exist within a supportive provider.

• Proven experience in collaborating with people living with a disability with high complex care needs.

Responsibilities

• Support client in her own home with 24-hour dedicated team support.
• Assist with personal care, transfers, grooming and daily activities.
• Provide nutrition support (PEG) and medication administration as required.
• Communicate with client via communication board and maintain home cleanliness.
• Work within a collaborative team to ensure consistent care.

We are looking for compassionate and reliable support workers to join a team to assist our professional female client that has acquired her disability.

Support workers assist the client based in Christies Beach on a rotating roster of 24/7 support. Exceptional and ongoing hours are available for those that demonstrate person centred practices and can commit to the client's long-term support needs. As a team member you will be required to be familiar with all shifts including passive overnights.

You will be responsible for providing dedicated, individualised and flexible support services to assist our client to live independently, safely, and comfortably within the community.

Your role will include:

• Supporting our client in her own home where she receives 24 hours support from a dedicated team of support workers
• Support with personal care - hygiene, transfers, grooming, etc
• Working within a highly unwavering team of workers
• PEG for all nutritional needs and medication administration
• Communicating with the client via communication board
• Domestic assistance to maintain the clients home

Skills & Experience required:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
• NDIS Worker check and Working with Children check
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• Clear communication, listening skills and writing skills
• A person-centred approach to support
• This role will ideally suit Support Workers based in and around the southern suburbs of Adelaide
