Job summary

Scope Aust is seeking casual Disability Support Workers to support across the Illawarra area in SIL homes, including Bomaderry and Warrawong.

You will provide warm, respectful, person-centred support, promote dignity and independence, and follow structured support plans and safety procedures. Flexibility to work varied shifts is required, with opportunities for orientation and career development.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check.
• Green P's or higher NSW driver’s licence
• Valid Australian working rights and international police check (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence.
• Follow behaviour support strategies, routines, and safety procedures consistently.
• Support participants with daily living, personal care, health routines, and community access.
• Use calm communication and effective de-escalation to manage behaviours of concern.
• Work confidently and independently while following structured support plans.
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with the wider team.
• Bring patience, reliability, and a calm, supportive approach to every shift.
