Job summary

Scope Australia is seeking a pool of casual staff to support across the Illawarra area in our SIL homes. You will provide warm, respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence, assisting with daily living, personal care, and health routines.

You will follow behaviour support strategies, maintain clear documentation, and communicate effectively with the wider team, bringing patience and reliability to every shift.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check are required.
• Green P’s or higher NSW driver’s licence is required.
• Valid Australian working rights must be held.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence.
• Follow behaviour support strategies, routines, and safety procedures consistently.
• Support participants with daily living, personal care, health routines, and community access.
• Use calm communication and effective de-escalation to manage behaviours of concern.
• Work confidently and independently while following structured support plans.
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with the wider team.
• Bring patience, reliability, and a calm, supportive approach to every shift.

What you'll need:

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and overnight (active/sleepover).
• NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check.
• Green P’s or higher NSW driver’s licence
• Valid Australian working rights and international police check (if applicable).
