Job summary

Allen Care Services in Gatton region is seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers to assist a non-verbal participant with complex needs, including PEG feeding and manual handling. Candidates should be willing to work active night shifts and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Individual Support (or higher) or relevant experience with non-verbal/complex participants.
• NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, First Aid & CPR; valid driver’s license, insurance and access to a vehicle.
• Strong communication, adaptability and empathy to deliver person-centred care.
• Availability for sleepover and active night shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks including personal care and PEG feeding.
• Provide transport and support for medical appointments and social activities.
• Collaborate with allied health professionals to develop support plans.
• Support independence, confidence and community involvement.
• Ensure participants have choice and control over their care.
• Manage and assist during medical episodes.
