Job summary

Northcott is hiring casual Support Workers in Tamworth to empower people with disability to live independently. You will provide personal care, assist with mobility, and follow care plans for health needs, including epilepsy and wound care.

You'll prepare meals, support participation in daily activities, and work with an experienced team committed to wellbeing, inclusion, and career growth.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability across 24/7 shifts, including overnights and weekends.
• Confidence with manual handling, PEG feeding, medication administration, and safe transport.
• Ability to stay calm, capable and compassionate in challenging situations.
• Experience supporting people with diverse physical, cognitive or behavioural needs and showing respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care that promotes dignity and independence.
• Support safe manual handling and mobility with hoists and aids.
• Follow individual care plans for health needs such as epilepsy or wound care.
• Prepare meals and assist with mealtimes per plans.
• Enable participation in everyday activities including household tasks and community outings.
