Job summary

Endeavour Foundation is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to assist people with disability to live as independently as possible in Gladstone. You will work across our L&L and SIL services, supporting daily living skills, personal care, meals, community activities and progress toward NDIS goals.

Roles are permanent part-time or casual with varied rosters, including days, evenings and sleepovers, offering flexibility and a meaningful, community-focused career in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability, aged care or related community services is highly regarded.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• A Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support people to achieve NDIS goals and develop daily living skills.
• Provide personal care and support according to individual needs.
• Assist with meal planning, cooking and light household tasks.
• Facilitate community access and attend appointments.
• Support independence, confidence and community connections.
• Follow individual support plans and provide person-centred support.
• Build positive relationships with participants, families and stakeholders.
• Create a safe, respectful environment.
