Job summary

Help at Hand Support Services in New South Wales is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team. Your work will be varied and rewarding, from supporting participants on days out to the beach or a movie, to accompanying medical appointments or providing companionship at home.

Each day is an opportunity to make a real difference. We value caring, reliable and proactive people who hold the required certificates, a current WWCC, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Disability or higher, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in high care, mental health, trauma-informed care, or behaviours of concern.
• WWCC and First Aid/CPR certificates.
• Full, clean Australian driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily activities and community outings.
• Attend medical appointments as needed.
• Provide companionship and social support at home.
• Follow person-centred care plans and maintain safety.
